Hi people! Since my street style is running a little late I thought I'd show you what I wore yesterday.

I picked up a vintage dress from Fly To You (a great vintage shop in Daegu), I love it, it reminds me of Wednesday Addams from the Addams family. 

I paired this Little Black Dress (LBD) with another vintage find, a red jacket I got from STI CHIC (another store in Daegu) and my Topshop boots, and voila! You have yourself a red Sunday (I was going to name this post Red Wednesday, but I wore this outfit on Sunday and I was born on a Sunday so I thought I'd change it up!)

I love a good LBD simply because of the different ways you can style it! I usually use an LBD as a canvas or backdrop to highlight other things I'm wearing and make them stand out!

Hey people! I have another monochrome look for you! I promise the next one shall have some other colour involved haha. 

Last time I was in Seoul I ended up at a rooftop party in Myeongdong, it was pretty good but we turned up way too early! Plus I had to leave early as I had to catch the train back to Daegu. However in the short space of time I was there I managed to take a few street style snaps, talk to some amazing people and get these pictures taken by my lovely friend Jina.

Outside Gyeongbokgung palace, next to the outer building were some cherry blossom trees. That made for the perfect backdrop to an impromptu photo shoot.

So I decided to take a spur of the moment trip to Norwich…when I say spur of the moment I mean literally last minute. I realised that that was the only time I'd be able to go before I head off to Korea (blogpost to come) so naturally I thought "what the heck, why not?!"

I ended up seeing one of my oldest friend's from uni and ex-housemate Adoraaaaaa…cue both of us running into each other's arms like a scene from a cheesy rom-com, followed by jesting, laughter and of course the mini photo shoot below!

I got to see a couple more friends but sadly not everyone as my decision to go up to Norwich was that last minute (haha). 

Everything but the bags and Doc Martens are thrifted (we have problems)…okay wait the coat is my mum's but that doesn't matter (humour me people)

It's an art form where anything that's not essential is unequivocally eliminated, the 90s response to the lavish excess of the 80s minimalism. We moved away from the big hair, bright colours and shoulder pads to the clean lines and neutral colour palettes, gone were the glamazon supermodels of the 80s, in came the waifs such as Kate Moss, spear heading the movement of designers such as Calvin Klein and Martin Margiela.

 I guess with minimalism you could say less is more, it's all about making a statement without being superfluous, in other words simplicity is key!

From that white button down shirt hanging in the back of your closet, to that sharply tailored suit, minimalism is stripped down, emphasising restraint.

I've been watching Law & Order reruns lately (don't ask) and I love the way powerful women dressed in the 90s, clean simple shift dresses, not a hair out of place. They looked polished.

For the day outfit I've taken inspiration from the infamous Kathryn Merteuil from Cruel Intentions. Kathryn was ambitious, cold, calculating and downright wicked...she also dressed to kill. She knew how to work a power suit, looking clean and polished despite her dirty secrets.

Inspired by the 90s teen cult hit The Craft, Topshop have released new lines based on the character's 90s goth style.

I'm going to put up a few pictures from the movie as well as other things that I think give some style inspiration, then we'll get to my favourite pieces from the collection.

Think dark liptstick and dark nails and just general darkness, it's 90s goth, which is to be honest slightly grungy but hey I love it! It's all about the textured prints and for me I love the lightweight material of the skirts, it's really hot at the moment and I live to wear black sometimes so having something light is amazing!
