I found myself wandering the streets of Hongdae and got some pictures. Check them out!

Street Style - The Statement Skirt

Picture this, I'm at the Questreet Flea Market with my friend Jina and we pass this gorgeous girl sitting on one of the tables surrounded by people all vying for her attention, all wanting the chance to talk to her. She has this aura around her, a good natured laugh, a beautiful smile and to top it off she has platinum locks.  "That's Kim Hye In" Jina whispered to me, she's a very well known fashion blogger.

Just by looking at her you can see that she's got a little something, it's magnetic, it draws you in and you can't help but look at her. I took one look at her outfit and I knew I had to take her picture.

Summer. It's hot, humid and sweaty business, layering does not, I repeat DOES NOT seem like a good idea (unless you're wearing lightweight material).

How then should one dress now that the cold grip of winter is just a distant memory?
My question was answered when I spotted this well dressed high school girl up in Seoul.

This is part 1 of a 4 part series of a more detailed look at some of the outfits I spotted in Seoul, I'll show you where they got their clothes from, and occasionally give you my version of these looks.

Walking around the main streets of Hongdae were these two awesome looking high schoolers in very well put together outfits.

I think it's rare to see younger teenagers putting together outfits with their own personal touches to it. I really do believe that the way you dress says a lot about you and your personality so it makes me happy to see teens who are dressed differently from people their age. It let's me know that they're developing their own personalities and thinking for themselves, I'm all for expressing one's individuality.

Here's part 2! I'll have a more detailed account of the flea market uploaded soon.
I love flea markets, it gives you a chance to meet new people and talk to designers about the products they've designed, you get to ask them about the thought process behind their lines (obviously harder for me to do over here but you get my gist lool).

If you haven't already seen Part 1 check it out!

Enjoy!

So What's The Fashion Like in Korea? My thoughts after 2 months

0

As most of you wonderful people know, I've been living in Korea for the past 2 months and despite the odd hiccup here and there I am loving it over here! So I thought I'd put together a little something on my thoughts about the fashion here, based on what I've seen so far.

I'll start with my favorite guys, they all (at least most of them) know the value of a good haircut. We all know how our hair can add that extra something to an outfit and these guys have impeccably styled hair. It's carefully coiffed, gelled, combed and groomed to perfection.

The outfits are well put together, you have your gentlemen who emphasize clean lines, a good structured jacket and shoes that pull the whole outfit together. They have this way of putting together a classic old-world look with a modern twist.

This weekend I found myself in Hongdae, it's the Brick Lane of Seoul.
Everybody is about expressing their own quirky sense of individuality and not being ashamed of it, Hongdae is not about fitting in.

I managed to get a few pictures of these well dressed locals whilst I soaked up the atmosphere and shopped like I haven't done for the past two years je ne regrette rien...

Check out the pictures below!

This guy was absolutely hilarious!
